Carroll County School System Hosts District Convocation

7:00 PMCarroll County School System hosted a District Convocation for all Certified Faculty and Staff to celebrate the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. Scott K. Cowart, Superintendent, welcomed everyone, Daphine Wynne, Teacher of the Year, shared a motivational message and Fredrick Bailey, Author of Waiting on the Rain, was the keynote speaker. The nearly 1200 attendees also enjoyed special musical performances by the Temple High School Flute Ensemble, Villa Rica High School Drama Teacher, Lauren Whitaker and Pianist, Geoffrey Harden. The event was held in the new 42,500 square foot Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center.
