Sep 14 2018

September 14, 2018

More than 100 choral students from across the district came together for a premier performance at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center.

Prior to the event, students participated in workshops with Guest Clinician, Mr. Scott Martin. Special guests speakers, Dr. Kevin Hibbard, Joey Huckeba, and Scott Keesey also shared the many opportunities available throughout the community and at the University of West Georgia to further their music education. The program included five songs and ended with Sisi Ni Moja, which means "We are One", by Jacob Narvarud.

Special thanks to Ms. Ruthie Phillips, Director of the Central High School Chorus, Mrs. Sarah Parker, Director of the Villa Rica High School Chorus, Dr. Leslie Gillis, Accompanist, and Gabby Knight, who played the djembe.
