Carroll County School System recently hosted its first Military Enlistee Honors Ceremony at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center. The program began with the Presentation of Colors by the Carroll County Air Force JROTC, followed by Hope Lasseter of Central High School singing the National Anthem and keynote speaker, Mr. Bruce Tidaback, U.S. Navy Veteran and Director of Transportation for Carroll County Schools. Dr. Travis Thomas, Director of Teaching and Learning Secondary Education and Assessment, recognized the nearly 30 enlistees and U.S. Armed Forces Recruiters led the swearing in of each enlistee.

"Carroll County School System is committed to preparing students to be enrolled in secondary education, employed in the workforce or enlisted in military service upon graduation, and we are very proud of all of these young men and women who have chosen to serve our great nation," said Dr. Thomas.
